Goals:

1. Understand/review basic cognitive functions including anatomy.

2. Understand/review executive functions and common methods of assessment

3. Know the common behavioral presentations due to executive function impairment

4. Develop specific interventions to address common cognitive impairments

5. Develop ideas for training others to better manage cognitive behavioral impairments

Will include a lot of interaction and discussion specific to case examples and attendees experience. Appropriate for entry and intermediate level therapists OT/PT/SLP.

Andrew Egan is a 1998 UNH Graduate. He spent 11 years working with neurologically impaired adults and children including serving as Program Director for 3 years focusing on interventions for cognitively challenged adults/adolescents. Over the last 5 years, Andrew has split his working hours between schools, SNF and acute populations. His interests include Visual Rehab., Neuro Development and community re-entry. He lives in Wakefield NH, with wife and teenage son.
