Presenter: Joanne Pennington, OTR/L, MPH

Joanne has been employed as an OT for 26 years with primary focus in neuroscience and hand therapy. She works for Portsmouth Regional Hospital's Outpatient Therapy Clinic, splitting her time between the Day Rehab Program, and the Hand Therapy Program. Over the years, Joanne has also worked in acute care, acute rehab, home care and overseas with World Vision in Romania.

Goals:

  1. Review shoulder / scapula anatomy
  2. Review scapula-humeral rhythm and impact on motion
  3. Assessing and avoiding impingement
  4. Treatment discussion for strengthening, ROM, positioning & function.
