Wed. 4/30/14, 6:30 – 8:30 pm

"What Color Is Monday?" asked the little boy who is on the spectrum

presented by Carrie Cariello, author of a book with this title and his mom!

In May I went to a book reading at Gibson's bookstore in Concord with Carrie as the presenter. It was wonderful, was for the general public, but I knew then it would be perfect for our group. Carrie is articulate, warm, funny, very real and honest - sharing her tears, fears, frustrations, worries and especially JOY in her son Jack. There is no sugar coating on the
challenges but also no holds barred on the love and delight this family feels for their son. I think this can be a sharing - from Carrie to us about our role with children on the spectrum and we are a lively group with good ideas to discuss as well! Carrie is also the mother of 4 other children,
is a regular contributor to Autism Spectrum News, has been published in several parenting magazines and has a master's in public administration and an MBA.

I am excited about this, and appreciate Carrie's willingness to travel to meet with us. I hope to have a substantial turnout and people should feel free to invite parents, colleagues, etc. I would love to have you share this announcement and open this up to parents, teachers and other
professionals. Gibson's is providing us with a box of books for sale as well - $16.00 each, checks or cash only. This is a indeed a special opportunity!

2 CEU's, members - $10, non mem. - $20, students free, no need to RSVP, parents, other professionals - $1 or $2 dollar donation
