    Presenter Bio: 

    Tamara received her BSOT, 1986, from the Medical College of Virginia. Her occupational therapy work experience includes trauma and acute care in a 900-bed teaching hospital, acute rehab, home health, school-based OT, and SNF level of care throughout the East Coast. She has worked with Durable Medical Equipment for more than 10 years with her RESNA ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) certification.

    Goals/objectives:

    1. How to identify the funding sources for DME (Durable Medical Equipment).

    2. How to find the LCD (Local Coverage Determination) for any type of DME.

    3. The necessary elements of the LMN (Letter of Medical Necessity) and how to write one.

    4. Steps and stages required for DME coverage, and how to push the process through your DME company as quickly as possible.
