Students and faculty from UNH will present information on the three new CPT codes that can be used to capture caregiver training services provided by OT practitioners, specifically in situations when the patient is not present. Attendees will learn about each code and the implications for reimbursement. Students will share their research regarding the awareness, willingness, and feasibility regarding the new caregiver training codes from the perspective of outpatient pediatric occupational therapists. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas.

Presenters: Sarah Murphy, Gigi Quimby, Aryane Schiavo, Sam Webster & Lisa Owen

At the end of this webinar, participants will:

Identify the 3 new CPT codes available to OT practitioners to capture caregiver training services provided without the patient present

Understand coding and documentation requirements for reimbursement of caregiver training services

Apply knowledge of the new caregiver training codes to a student research studying examining the perspectives of pediatric therapists regarding the 2024 caregiver training CPT codes
